Lexington secures planning consent
Planning consent has been secured by Moda Living and Apache Capital for ‘The Lexington, Liverpool’, the partner’s £82m purpose-built PRS development and the joint venture’s first major project in the city.
The development’s prominent waterfront position is close to Liverpool’s Three Graces – the Royal Liver Building, Cunard Building and Port of Liverpool Building – which give the city its iconic skyline at the heart of its World Heritage Site. The first building to be brought forward within the Peel Group’s £5.5 billion Liverpool Waters regeneration masterplan, The Lexington brings New York style living to the waterside.
As guardian for the Liverpool Waters masterplan, working directly for Peel, Planit-IE has ensured the building’s ‘fit’ into its emerging context and brokered discussions with adjacent plot developers to create a harmonious relationship between the Lexington and its neighbours – existing and future.
Virtual Planit helped produce the Verified Views for the planning application along with images employing drones showing the tower in the context of the City.
